my favorite earrings – splendid,
These may now be my favorite earrings. I rarely write reviews but I love these earrings so much I had to share. I know you will love them, too. The picture does not do them justice. In my mind’s eye I thought this would be the case but I was more than pleasantly surprised when I opened the lovely package (the box itself is very nice). They are made of high quality silver that shines like platinum, and the metal is sturdy so the clasps do not bend. The gemstones are splendid; the garnet/ruby is a deep red and the diamonds sparkle. The over-all design is extremely artistic. The design is modern and at the same time there is an eternal quality about them (although not “vintage” they are an updated vintage-like design and do classify as “wearable art”). And they are not heavy at all for their length. Finally, they are very well-engineered. The rubies “float” from the silver attachment (technically there is a small hinge). This must have been difficult to make. . . and the result is a fluid movement versus a stiff pendulum-like sway.
